Artist Statement for Mariola Bogacki
|
|
|
Around 1880 impressionists started to become aware of the fact that art is a product of imagination and the art primarely relies on the communicative strength.
They assured themselves of the fact that there is not one reality, i.e. not one single nature for everyone, but as many realities as individuals.
From here the statement resulted which is geared to the fact that painting is defined as an instrument for the expression of affections, feelings and individual thoughts, in fact not through the allegoric tradition of attitude, of gesture and of symbols, but rather through the inherent way of expressing (inheret way to express), the form, the colors and the line management.
The artist Mariola Bogacki was also fascinated by the “symbolic flow” of secret realities which tends toward suggesting and evoking a surprising, mysterious world full of existential meanings under a veil of analogies and myths.
Mariola Bogacki frees her mind to inspire herself and prefers allegorical, visionary and romantic topics, whereupon the formal-aesthetic character and the communicative strength of the picture always take a priority.
Giving even irrational subjects from the world of dreams and of imaginary forms and color the artist looks for the point, at which the two situations “Dream” and “Reality” meet each other, although they seem to be contradictory. By symbolic pictures which follow hidden similarities between things and the human existence, Mariola Bogacki evokes impressions, intuitions, feelings, subtle and precious affections of an unsafe earthly life in which everything is temporary and in which they can escape for a transcendental ideal.
Almost like by magic, unbelievable creations, especially beautiful women who play their role on the stage of life, portrayed with a hyper realism of full poetry and surreal evocations, arise from the hands of the Polish painter Mariola Bogacki.
Mariola´s magical painting is remembered by the special climate of the places, by the selected lyrical atmosphere which is merged in an unusual way with the earth and the nature where she lives.
At the moment she lives and works in Lilienthal/Germany.
Working as a professional artist.
