Hello All
Writing an artist's statement must be the toughest part of this job. So, here goes my spurious attempt:
There isn't a big mystery about my work: it's a question of pleasure. As simple and as complicated as that.

1.This has given me a lot of joy. A group of disadvantaged youths were given one of my photos to write about -the result is a wonderful collection of associations and creative writing. I am really very pleased.

"Hydranten, die Farbe Rot und ein Foto
Drei Texte der Klasse GTM6B (Berufsgrundschule, Jugendliche ohne Ausbildungsplatz) des Adolph-Kolping-Berufskollegs in Brakel zu dem Foto Opens internal link in current window"Liebst Du mich nicht mehr" von Marjan Kindersley +++ Diese Jugendlichen haben sonst keinen Zugang zu Kunst. Kunst ist etwas, was ihnen eigentlich fremd ist, sie sogar befremdet. Erstaunlich daher, wie intensiv sie sich auf das Foto eingelassen haben. Dies auch, da das Schreiben von Texten den Sch�lern eher ein Graus ist. +++ In Kleingruppen und nach dem Verfahren des zirkulierenden kreativen Schreibens (2 S�tze schreiben, weitergeben...) sind diese kleinen Texte entstanden. Anf�nglich aufkommende Fragen, wieso solch ein Foto denn �berhaupt Kunst sein k�nne, waren bald beim Schreiben vergessen. Der kreative Prozess war begleitet von teils heftigen Diskussionen in den Gruppen, insgesamt aber von viel Lachen und Spa� bei der Arbeit."
