Artist Statement for Marne Helgeson

|
|
Most of my work is in acrylics. I enjoy the versatility of the medium. I do not try to represent a particular place. I try to create my impression of the environment. I use color as much as shape to imply my images.I live in Northern California, surrounded by the Redwoods and the Wild Smith River. Between the river, the mountains and the near by Pacific Ocean, I will never cease to find new material.
