Artist Statement:
My professional experience
includes working as a graphic
designer, illustrator and fine
artist. The contemporary style
of my art work is directly
influenced by my fascination
with industrial design,
fashion, architecture,
contemporary, pop art as well
as modern sculpture.
As a designer I see the beauty
and personality of ordinary
objects. I enjoy working in
mixed media and my art work
will usually combine technical
drawing, linoleum block
printmaking, collage,
assemblage and painting. The
substrates are generally
paper, birch panel, canvas,
mylar. I like to incorporate
charcoal, graphite, india ink,
acrylic or oil paint, ephemera
and found objects into my
pieces, scratching into the
surface and building up layers
if ideas.
My personal philosophy is that
I believe that art should be
accessible to all, that it is
a privilege to be creative and
an honor to help inspire
others....
