Artist Statement for Gary Martin

|
In my paintings I try to use color and form to represent a more emotional feel to the eye of the beholder. I love using earth tones to help achieve just that. There is nothing to me, more impressive than the form of the human body. My goal is to bring every person into the paintings instead of doing a portrait that just says "that’s great" and that’s it. I want to be able to capture the viewer by bringing them into the painting so every person can potentially get something different. I have finally found my genre and this is what I will do for the rest of my life. I hope you enjoy at least these few paintings as i will post more for you to enjoy. I welcome any comments and critiques you may have about the art I found.
