Artist Statement:
A native of New York, Matt
Hatfield has drawn tremendous
influences from his background
in advertising, animation and
photography as well as his
experiences in studying the
female form. His artwork is
also greatly inspired by Pop
Artists such as Andy Warhol,
Roy Lichtenstein, Barbara
Kruger and James Rosenquist.
His latest works incorporate
the beauty of the female
figure and colors that are
pleasing to the eye. Matt
believes that nude photography
is in fact an intimate
portrait which allows direct
expression without masks, both
the personalities of the model
as well as that of the
photographer are revealed.
