Artist Statement:
In my art I am trying to show impressions, such as a first impression, the impression of a person, a situation, what was left behind or at worst, a wrong impression. My work is constructed from past and present memories and memories of trials and tribulations of my life. When I gather materials for a body of work, I like to be sporadic. Through this process, spontaneous marks come from my subconscious and reflect my life experiences. I feel that, in viewing my art, you come closer to knowing chapters of my life that allow you to reflect on your own. My current work is about the expression of love, love that one has, shares, and loses. I am never content with my art and continue to explore new mediums and fresh themes to apply to my paintings and drawings. ...
