Born in Zurich, Switzerland
March 2nd 1961, Maya Nagel has
been living in the North East
of the United States since
1996. Her handcolored black
and white photographic images
of coastal regions have been
exhibited in numerous
galleries and been published
as posters. The process of
crafting lampshades with the
images began in 2003 and her
creations can be ordered at
