Artist Statement:
Mark Bredt has been in the
graphic arts for more than 30
years, working as both
designer and photojournalist.
In that time he has created a
wealth of marketing materials
and captured news and events
on film using his own
photography, design and
printing expertise.
In 2002 he discovered computer
painting -- an emerging
artform in digital watercolor.
Starting with his own
photographic images, wonderful
works of art in their own
right, he digitizes and
manipulates the image using
"state-of-the-art" digital
editing software creating, in
turn, still another art form.
"Computer enhancement has
brought another layer of
expression to my art," Bredt
explains, "it allows for an
empathic accent, a change in
attitude, or complete
abstraction."...
