Artist Statement for Rebecca Mcmullan
|
|
|
As long as I can remember I've
been passionate about every
aspect of the arts from fine
art to theatre to music. I
have always known that to be
completely fufilled in my life
I absolutely HAVE to be doing
something creative and
expressive, whether it be
painting, interior decorating,
fashion design or whatever...I
have been painting about two
years, ever since I signed up
for an oil painting class in
college. The first time I
picked up a brush I knew that
creating art was the reason I
was put on this earth, it is
truly spiritually fufilling. I
am still in a phase of
experimenting and establishing
a "style" but I am
particularly facinated with
the extraordinary beauty of
everyday things and the human
form....
