30) Aug 07...Warwick Brown, publisher/artist/art critic, from review for 'A Brief History of Object and Desire', nzartmonthly.co.nz -
"...In constructed interiors we find chairs, columns, jugs, vases and convex, gilt-framed mirrors, highly coloured and riotously decorative. The colour in this body of works is truly exhilarating. Everything harmonises, but shouts at you while doing so...Each piece works fine in the economical 17cm square version; at that scale they are like secular icons. Every home should have one.” -- Artful Gallery exhibition, Auckland, NZ (see links listings)

29) Jul 07...Vicki (& Sarah) Little, Auckland, NZ -
"...Brilliant that the Still Life in 10 Parts went - congratulations! (and someone out there has absolutely impeccable taste)...Neat opening last night, lots of enthusiasm in the room! The new work is really cool...I love seeing what new directions you head off in. Sarah really loved it, I always ask her what the best part of her day was before she goes to sleep, and it was 'the exhibition!' She's going to talk about it in her class news this morning ...So you've won a fan, and she's still grumpy at me for not buying the big version of Bling! -- thoughts and comments from email discussion

28) Jul 07...Darnell Dixon, The Hyperfactory, Auckland, NZ -
"...I am just delighted with our purchase, really great timing as we had been talking about getting a nice piece of art to place on our newly painted walls and I just fell in love with the piece I purchased. I like that there is a personal connection with the artist which is great! -- feedback via email message re 'Still Life in Ten Parts'

27) Dec 06...Elizabeth Smither, extract of review for 'aqua room sereis', NZ Listener -
"...A visual feast is constantly being rearranged in front of us that we are invited to examine, looking for structure, ahrmony, symbiosis, ultimately the human condition. This is what makes Clay Bodvin's still life so rewarding..." -- Art Feature on Lopdell House Gallery exhibition (May/June 06) Waitakere City, NZ (see links listings - Dec 16-22; Vol 206; No 3475)
