I love the wildness of the West Coast of Ireland where we live. We have a rib, and with my husband and two sons (6 and 8) we explore the deserted off shore Islands and the rugged coastline. We also walk the hills (and the occasional mountain) in the Connemara National Park which is all around us. We cycle, we swim, we camp..... We also have a marine aquarium, and a fresh water aquarium where we breed Discus. |

| Your Personal Biography |
Born in Dublin in 1961. Anne Merrins emigrated to Canada with her family at the age of 15 where she graduated from McGill University with a B.A. in 1982.
While painting from a young age, and exhibiting her work on both sides of the Atlantic, she also worked as a Behaviour Therapist in Montreal for 5 years.
She subsequently returned to Connemara on the West Coast of Ireland, where she lives with her family, and paints in a cottage looking out to Sea.
In 1992 she submitted her work to the Royal Hibernian Academy and Won the Award for 'Work of Exceptional Merit in Watercolour'
In 1999 she completed a year of the Masters program in Counselling in Trinity Colledge, Dublin.
She continues to live, paint and exhibit on the west coast of Ireland where the inspiration is endless!
