What are the anticipated rewards for the Legends participants?
"A trophy will be awarded to the top boat at each tournament,"Voytowich said. "The grand prize will be awarded to the overall Legend Series Champion. The top boat at each tournament will receive a trophy, as well as some other prizes, such as outerwear gear from Pelagic.
The overall Legend Series champion will receive the grand prize, which this year will include an all-inclusive luxury big game fishing trip in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. They will also receive recognition by getting their name added to MTU's unique, Paul Hill-designed Legend Series Trophy."
Talk a bit about the Legend Series trophy and its uniqueness?
"Since the Legend Series was a one-of-a-kind event, we wanted a one-of-a-kind symbol, something that represented the deep connection between MTU and sport fishing, "Voytowich said. "While searching for a solution, we met North Carolina artist Paul Hill and were impressed with his previous work. He presented us with a concept that would at once embrace the fluid beauty of a jumping marlin, while at the same time referencing MTU's industrial nature by incorporating real MTU engine parts. His initial sketches of the trophy blew everyone away, and we commissioned the work.
As impressed as we were with the concept, the finished product surpassed everyone's expectations. When we unveiled the five-foot tall, stainless steel sculpture during a ceremony at last year's Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, people did a double-take. It was simultaneously vert traditional and yet unlike anything they had ever seen before. The genious is in the details: even to the point where there are working, spinning gears just visible within the trophy's body. It is truely a stunning piece, and we are proud to have it represent MTU and the unique competitors that will be able to be called Legend Series champions."

I have been fortunate enough to have an article published in the 2003 September-October issue of "COASTAL LIVING" magazine. The image that is reproduced in the magazine is the "Heron Series ll" sculpture on page 26. The article and sculpture can be seen in the "Currents" section of the magazine. I was interviewed on live television by Francis Weller of WECT-TV, to speak a few words about the "Keep-A-Breast" sculpture along with the cancer survivor. To date, Keep-A-Breast has organized events in New York, San Francisco, San Diego, Lake Tahoe, Raleigh, Munich and Biarritz.

September-October 2006 issue of "Fabricator Magazine/NOMMA". Article about the design and fabrication of the stainless steel gate project at Sunset Beach, NC. A gated community needing a 24 foot driveway gate, pedestrian gate and gazebo bench. This is the cover story for this issue.
