Artist Statement:
For 25 years I have been
working to bring the
traditions of the past and the
experiments of contemporary
art together. The St. Paul
Pioneer Press called me a
mixed media maven. I have 5
separate, distinct series that
I work in: SYNTHESISM the main
body of my work, the
ABSRACTION Series, a
non-objective exploration of
surface and color, the
EDITORIAL Series, The HOMAGE
to KITSCH Series and the
PORTRAIT Series, a series of 8
portraits of individuals who I
believe fought evil through
their work, which includes
Mohandas Gandhi, Dr. M. L.
King, Albert Schweitzer,
Albert Einstein, Mother
Theresa, the Dalai Lama and
John Lennon. All of these can
be viewed on my website

For starters I am
concentrating on my linocut
monoprints. Each print is hand
done on a linoleum block with
a brayer with a catalog
numbering system. The first
two numbers are the block
(Composition) number and the
second two or three are the
number of the print off the
block. Each print is unique
and archival. They are
virtually like individual
paintings on paper, for $55.00
each.
