Artist Statement:
After six years of study in
both fine and commercial art
at Sydney's National Art
School during the 1960s, John
Millington taught high school
and tertiary level art in two
States for 12 years before
establishing a studio on the
Gold Coast in 1978.
He is a published arts author
and a newspaper art critic for
several news organisations
since 1977.
He has had more than 30 solo
exhibitions in 5 States and
Territories in Australia, has
won in excess of 60 art
awards, received arts grants
in two States, and in 1992,
won Australia's richest
landscape art award, the
Brisbane Tattersalls
Invitational Art Prize....
