Artist Statement:
The summers of my youth were spent in Northern Ohio around the great lakes. I loved visiting the various lighthouses with my parents, and soon developed a love for their history and architecture. Growing up mainly in Iowa, I developed the same love of the simplicity and beauty of barns. Most of my subjects are barns, or lighthouses. But I also create works from my various travels, and include city-scape, landscape, or abstract works. I work mainly in pastels, watercolor, and computer art. Sometimes a combination of all 3 on one piece.
**20% of all sales of my barn paintings are donated to the Iowa Barn Foundation.
