Artist Statement:
We are shaped and fashioned by
what we love. The same is true
about my artwork. My artwork
is a reflection of my
personality. I can be off the
wall and crazy with my
artwork; usually portrayed
through my drawings and
woodwork, but I also have a
very practical side where my
functional pottery shines
through. I’m a very emotional
individual and I try to put my
emotions into my artwork.
My inspiration comes from
things around me. I try to
surround myself with things I
love. I take ideas from
nature, people, books, movies,
music, cartoons and with that
create a little piece of my
fantasy world for others to
see, enjoy, and hopefully find
out a little about me.
My interest in art came at a
very early age in drawing and
sketching the visions I had in
my mind. I needed to put my
imagination on paper for
myself and others to see. As
my drawings and ideas got
bigger and more creative, I
wanted to find some way to
make them come to life. I
experimented with other
mediums of metal, wood and
clay. I found that metal was
