Born in 1980 in Guayaquil, Ecuador. His artistic life began as a youth next to his uncle Jiner and the artist Rooselvet Cruz, who had studied plastic arts. Rooselvet immediately recognized that Millan would become an artist, and Millan drew and painted from that time on. For several years he painted the backdrops for school and his university plays, and conducted school expositions.
By the time he was 18 he decided that art would be an activity of absolute freedom in terms of specific goals, and that he would pursue other professional studies, in addition to art. At his begins, Millan studied the works of the artists Oswaldo Guayasamin and Eduardo Kingman that included copies made in oil.
He worked inicially with oilpaints, but now his works are primary with painting acrylic, but his creation array expands from drawing and painting to sculpture.
Millan has always felt the artist in him – collecting art, visiting museums, painting and creating objects in various phases of his life –and principally – thinking as an artist.
Up until 2004 he had restricted exhibiting his works to colegs, family, friends and some collectors. Millan is Agribusiness man graduated from Zamorano, Honduras, where he met Jorge Restrepo, colombian artist, with whom he has been working in share art until the date. Also he studied engineering in Statistic Informatic at ESPOL, Ecuador.
He works and creates from an absctract-conceptual-expressionist point of view with an special attention in the use of colours a forms and the balance and relationship within them.
