Artist Statement for Maria Madacky

Maria is an artist presently based in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, with an MFA in Drawing and Intermedia from the University of Alberta, Edmonton. Her work is influenced by unconventional structures of knowledge that mediate the physical and metaphysical realms such as eastern philosophies, mythology and folktales.
