Welcome to Michelle Mendez's Portfolio. Browse Mendez's body of work: In all media, the work's design, proportion, surface treatment and detail are important elements in the process. I respect colors found in nature and honor them. I prefer working from life because I enjoy the reciprocity of engaging oneself with the elements of nature. Many small oils are done on site, then larger works are built up in the studio from oil and drawing studies, photographs and imagination.
