Artist Statement:
In all media, the work's design, proportion, surface treatment and detail are important elements in the process. I respect colors found in nature and honor them. I prefer working from life because I enjoy the reciprocity of engaging oneself with the elements of nature. Many small oils are done ...

My biggest artistic inspiration is to create works that please our creator, that mirror this amazingly complex journey we call life, and lastly, to exhibit in a solo gallery exhibit. |

| Why Did You Become An Artist |
I became an artist because I was born with a gusto for life. I have found incredible joy and peace when I sit in the sun drawing or painting. This goes as far back as when I was scribbing in on playroom floor in a sunbeam as a child. |

| Your Personal Biography |
I love teaching art right now. To have all this skill and to be able to share it with others, to see other's growth and their developing appreciation for their own abilities, as well as for each other and our great masters before us...this is highly rewarding work. I love taking studio classes to meet with other artists for feedback and inspiration among ourselves. When my son is older, I know I'll return to a studio life and delve back into a more disciplined artistic career. |
