Artist Statement for Gitte Moller
|
|
|
Gitte Moller, artist and photographer, born in Copenhagen, Denmark, 1953 Has lived in Australia, Hong Kong and London. Since 1982 resides in Ecuador.
I work in oils, acrylics and photography, experimenting with colours and techniques as well as different surfaces, such as hand-made paper, black & white photos, textured acrylic gesso, cotton thread, paper mache, and of course, canvas.
My inspiration comes from life itself, whether it be the pattern on a butterfly's wing, a colour, the movement of water, the expression of a face, a mood or emotion, Chinese calligraphy, science and beliefs, a thought or a poem, etc, etc.....
