A photo has to capture the viewer, become lost in the image if only for a fraction of a second; sometimes just to find out what they are seeing other times purely for the shape and form.
To accomplish this effect I use various techniques, the actual photo is made using normal film. I use conventional film cameras rather than digital ones as I like the effect of film, the grain, little errors introduced by using this method and the sense it gives me the opportunity for a more intuitive approach to making the photo.
