Artist Statement:
IN HER OWN WORDS:
"As a person of feelings I make neither plans nor sketches of the things I want to see in my works. I use the line which follows the hand. Where is the beginning - where is the end? Of that I have no idea. I give absolute freedom to the line. For me it is interesting that the lines in my recent works are moving closer together - sometimes creating a nearly black surface. It is like a journey into an unknown depth which is fascinating, exciting and at the same time dangerous. I have no idea of where I am going. But yet I have to control myself and stop for a moment at the right moment (when the work is finished) - before I set out on a new journey in a new work.
I feel very great joy when people gain strenght from my works, strenght to go on - to create or to feel something. Sensitivity is in the eyes of the beholder. We see, we feel, we live together".
