| Why Did You Become An Artist |
I don't think I became an artist - I just always was. Being an artist is a wasy of seeing, a need to recreate, a desire to work with your eyes, hands and mind. You may become an artist of a particular medium or style, but the artist part is inate. |

| Your Personal Biography |
'My hope is to capture a moment, a memory of things we see but perhaps fail to notice the simple beauty they radiate.'
Inspired by the world around her, Nancy's paintings focuses on the play of light and color and the patterns they create. Working in both oil and watercolor, her desire is to draw the viewer into the painting, into a place one enjoys being and will return to again and again.
In addition to her studio work she teaches art at both the high school and adult levels, enlivened by the experience of encouraging others to see with the artist=s eye and to love the act of creating.
Nancy=s work are in the private collections of the J. C. Penney Company, The National Park Foundation, Rocky Mountain National Park Headquarters, and the Governor=s Mansion - Texas. She is a signature member of the prestigious American Watercolor Society. She has been included in exhibitions in New York City, Washington D. C., Jackson Hole, and Denver, with her work hanging in museums from the east to the west coast as part of traveling exhibitions.
