Everything is inspired by something else...For me, inspiration comes from my own experiences, as well as facts, lies, concepts, stories and even lessons learned from previous paintings...
When I was young...exploring was like a moving target. Wandering through gallery after gallery I felt like Cinderella whirling around in a palace...Pleasures of paint came early to me...Classes and the first few years were of exploration; then came originality and self expression...I realized a painting could stop the sun from setting...
My grid based paintings are much more than a device...I have worked with grids and their lines for some time now remaining true to their constaints...except for the times when they decide to break out to the point of abstraction....
