Welcome to Valerie Grove's Portfolio. Browse Grove's body of work: After several years living in Japan and the Middle East, I returned to London and started painting on board and other material found in the street. So Nature Strikes Back essentially began as a recycling project in 1998. (See: www.naturestrikesback.com)
Using manipulated photos of these paintings, I produced a series of prints and since then have developed an experimental style, which explores relationships between painting and digital processes. I am particularly interested in the differences between traditional and digital spectrums and I enjoy experimenting with the effects that can be achieved by combining diverse materials.
