There is nothing like the colorful light from a neon tube. Because of this, neon has been used in advertising for over 70 years. 'Neon art' has been around almost as long. My concept is to use the neon as part of functional art, in the form of tables and mirrors. Instead of adding neon to existing tables, I design the table from scratch, from the ground up, having the neon as an intrinsic component. Most of the tables are designed so that the neon tubes are recessed or under glass or plastic so that they are less vulnerable to breakage. All of the pieces are built to last a long time. Neon tubes don't burn out like incandescent or flourescent tubes; they last almost indefinitely. And these pieces use very little power; most consume less power then a 50 watt bulb. Many people leave their neon tables on all the time. They can work as a nite lite in many rooms. And there is nothing to compare with the color. I use the richest reds, blues, greens, purples, and others. There is nothing like neon. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments.
