He has work in a range of public and private collections including Scottish Equitable, Shell UK, Lloyd’s Bank, North Sea Ferries, Cable and Wireless, Hilton International, Texaco, Hampshire County Council, Houses of Parliament.

He describes his work as follows :

“ In my work, I am referring to quiet, intimate, secluded places within the landscape, places that I can get to know well, where I walk and draw often, observing changes from day to day and season to season. Generally this tends to be close to my home and studio near the River Wylye in South Wiltshire, although recently I have been working further afield . I would like to think that I convey through my paintings the sense of quietness and ‘solitary involvement’ with the landscape.

Over the past few years, and probably due to my proximity to the Wylye, I have become increasingly involved with water as an endless focus of inquiry and source of ideas, looking in particular for aspects of rhythm, pattern, depth and multi - layering, as well as becoming more conscious of the huge breadth of moods that it inspires.

Most of the paintings are carried out in the studio, each piece of work is developed from a variety of references: sketches, photos, notes and memory. The process is physical, uncertain but exciting, predominately intuitive, and primarily concerned with the most basic of instincts : mark - making.“
