My abstract paintings are expressive. My work is not about what I see, but what I feel and cannot say. My art emanates from inspiration. Andre Breton captures my thoughts, "Beloved imagination, what I most like in you is your unsparing quality.” When I am painting, I have the expansive experience of a soul expressing and creating beyond its horizons.
I work with unexpected mediums, expressed in acrylic, oils, charcoal, graphite, ink and pencils, on synthetic panels, sheets of glass, wooden boards, concrete, paper and canvas. Most of my works are in large formats, and often presented in series.
At present, I am working with the circle image. Circles and their intersections have always inspired me, often representing the intersection of souls. My current series conveys, through the circle image, the universal phenomenon of human encounter. My ubran series examines human encounter with the urban environment.
I desire to experience and explore what I can create with my hands and my mind. I am, and always will be, in the process of learning. Every new work is somehow expected and, in more ways, surprising.
