Artist Statement:
Welcome to my exhibition! I
hope you will enjoy the
pictures and travel with them.

I was born in Athens, Greece
in 1956. Painting became an
important activity for me in
1998. I am driven by color,
and its harmonies, and owe
this to the German
expressionists.

My themes are few and basic.
Fishing boats, still lifes,
ruined and deserted structures
and buildings, island-scapes,
sea-scapes, the female nude.
Now and then I find myself
venturing into religious
subjects, like a church or the
portrait of a saint, which are
prominent in byzantine art.

Although the bulk of my work
to date is representational, I
have started experimenting
with abstraction, like in
"veria1" or the "transparent
woman".

I live and work in Athens,
Greece.
