Artist Statement:
Nisar Mian studied at the
National College of Arts in
Lahore in 1969, Pakistan where
he graduated first in his
class, receiving a national
diploma in fine arts. He works
in a variety of styles and
media. He is familiar from his
studies with the traditional
style of Mughal miniatures, is
a sculptor, set-designer, and
has done graphics and
illustrative work. He has also
done industrial and textile
design. He does calligraphical
works that blend a modern
sense of design and colour
with traditional themes.
Nisar presently lives and
paints in Niagara Falls,
Canada....
