NICOLAS NISHIKY
“In my painting when discussing the human body, I deal with
human emotion through color and proportions, influenced by
modern masters in the choice of color, form and content. Not
looking for simple shapes in space, but subjects with mass and
substance, that have life and will... friends, strangers, lovers...
or a combination of all three. Maybe myself.
The feeling or emotion control my painting, leaving the lone
observer relates to each of the works, give a soul searching how
did William de Kooning, Kirchner or Rothenberg. That soul is
the story intrigues me, wonder and absorbed. The message will
be determined depending on the observer's mood, thoughts and
background.”
