Browse Cookson's body of work: I am inspired by colour, movement and texture – and believe that a good dose of humour is very important in certain aspects of my work. I mainly use acrylics and oils on canvas, sometimes using my own handmade paper and various fabrics for texture beneath the paint. Most of my work is done with palette knives and brushes but I also use sponges, fingers (my own!), pieces of cardboard, paper table napkins and scrunched plastic.
