Artist Statement:
I'm an artist and independent
curator based in Detroit,
Michigan-USA. I work with the
simplicity of ideas, with an
emphasis on individual
experience without being
exclusive through the presence
of time. I tend to work in a
manner based on circulation,
interuption and inclusion with
knowing and unknowing
collaboration rather then
traditional methods of
authoritative selection and
definition of art. I prefer
to work on an idea that is
responded to and developed
into an exhibition/project
while exploring ways of
applying relationships to
historical determinations of
contemporary practice in order
to conflict with received
notions concerning the primacy
of artistic originality and
expressiveness. I set no
boundaries in mediums but work
mostly with video,
interventions, examples and
drawing.
