Artist Statement:
My work focuses on humans. In
everything that is difficult
to define and carries a
potential secret. Likewise, I
am interested in an
unspecified but from outside
influences that determine
human development. I focus on
a simple painting, I use color
and at least some uncertainty
as well as the banality of
excites me through the
painting.Inverts the
influence, turning the
bleached and blurred, the cool
greys and plaster whites into
the enigmatic rather than the
obtuse. The artist’s body of
work is coherent and diverse:
forms are twisted and melded
here; shocked into existence
with an unnatural glare –
powder fragile; sharpened in
the nocturnal or livid in a
dying light. Charged with
drama, i can make even the
banal feel dangerous....
