A GALLERY EXHIBIT FOR LISA BLACK
From May 5 through June 9, Louise Meiere Dunn and Our World Gallery at The Stone Studio will host the work of three area artists.
The exhibit will feature paintings of Greenwich's Dan Wright and Darien's Lisa Black and the sculpture of Ada Osborn of New Canaan.
the opening reception will be on Sunday, May 5 from 2 to 6 p.m. and Monday, May 6 from 4 to 7 p.m. The public is invited and there is no charge. The gallery is at 82 Erskine Road, off Long Ridge Road, in Stamford.
As a painter, Lisa Black almost always mixes her media. It was the variety, vitality, and strength of a Picasso exhibition in Paris that encouraged her to start her career as a painter. She "finds joy in constantly exploring and experimenting with any number of media to produce art that is colorful, strong, expressionistic and very individualistic". As a photographer she zeroes in on anything beautiful or unusual that is exciting to her. She enjoys that moment when something catches her eye and she is able to freeze that image in still time, so it can be enjoyed over and over again.
