Artist Statement for Palitha Gunasinghe

I am a Sri Lankan artist/stamp designer. Today the wide world has become a global village, and we in turn have bridged the gaps of physical distance between communities in different continents via internet and satellite. Art is a medium through which tears could be transformed into smiles, bitterness could be converted into sweetness, dusk could be dissolved in dazzling daylight. Such is the power inherent in art, as such my indentity is the art - medium of water colour.
