Only some of my portraits are now visible on this site, and I am accepting commissions until December 2009. Contact me about prices for oils and watercolor portraits.
Also check for landscapes, seascapes, and other categories of my work on my personal website www.paintingreece.com.
I will have an exhibit at our Syngrou Building on Poros Island this August 12-30th. Included will be paintings from an AHI River Cruise down the Rhine and Danube Rivers, as well as more from my beloved Greece. Be sure to drop by to say hello and see my new work! I'll also have prints and cards available during the exhibit.
The GREEK ISLAND SOJOURN (June 17-July 3, 2009) including Santorini after Poros, with day trips to Hydra and Nafplion, was a fabulous and fun workshop for all of us!
The exhibition FEBRUARY 5th, 2009 in GREENVILLE NORTH CAROLINA AT CITY ART GALLERY, with my new watercolor landscapes from Greece and other places in our world, was a great success, with many friends joining that evening. The Art from the Heart exhibit in Carteret County was brilliant. North Carolina is a state of the arts indeed!
Odyssey Magazine of May/June had an excellent article written by Diane Shugart, who has moved to Poros. Welcome, Diane!
If you don't know ODE magazine yet (www.odemagazine.com), especially during these times of "bad news"- it's "the magazine for intelligent optimists" and will give your day, and your painting, a lift!
Yeia Mas! (Greek for Good Health!)
There are signed and limited edition prints of some of my landscape paintings for purchase (8x10 - $45 incl. shipping from Greece to the US), and some of the original paintings in my studio here on Poros are not yet sold. You may contact me for individual prices and shipping details at my website www.paintingreece.com and from
City Art Gallery, Red Banks Road in Greenville, NC (www.CityArtGreenville.com).
If you visit Poros Island while you're in Greece and are interested in purchasing my work, please e-mail me through this site or through my website www.paintingreece.com to make arrangements.
For art teachers and their students who want to paint on the island, please contact me through my website www.paintingreece.com with your preferred dates and number of people and I'll be happy to help you make the arrangements.
All the best, and Yeia Mas, which in Ellas means, good health!
