Artist Statement:
I have been fascinated with
the interaction of light and
glass since my childhood. When
attending church services, I
sometimes let my concentration
drift from my father's sermons
to the images in the stained
glass windows on either side
of the sancuary.
As the intensity of the light
fluctuated outside, the images
and colour changed
dramatically. I discovered
that the world behind the
glass and the piece of art
itself were in a constant
state of interaction.
My work has three-dimensional
properties which blend the
unique properties of stone,
glass and light.
It is my hope that you will
see my work "in a different
light" and that it will not be
viewed as a static piece, but
as a living and changing part
of your personal environment.
Art is the expression of the
soul....
