Artist Statement:
A. J. PASQUELLE
A. J. began his professional
career as an exploration
geologist. His vast sojourns
have taken him to some of the
most beautiful and remote
parts of the planet. A deep,
intimate connection with
nature is a perpetual source
of inspiration for much of his
work.
In the early 1990’s, a series
of unexpected and tragic
events resulted in the loss of
A. J.’s immediate family and
the majority of his financial
resources. Turning to
hypnosis to alleviate his
grief, A. J. opened a
colorful, brilliant and
dazzling universe of explosive
color within his mind. His
life work is dedicated to
capturing a glimpse of these
mystifying visions in oil.
Over the past ten years, A. J.
has deepened and enhanced his
inpiration through hypnosis
and remote wilderness
excursions. In the process,
his exposure has expanded from
the coast of Washington to New
York City. In addition to
producing his art, A. J.
currently pursues his passions
as a certified hypnosis
practitioner, writer and
musician.
