Artist Statement:
Paul Herman-painter/sculptor
Paul was born in Los Angeles
in 1962 the child of two
artists, Paul grew up in
Morocco, Sicily, Malta, and
Florence, Italy. He studied
art in London and New York and
has travelled throughout
Europe the far east and both
U.S. coasts. In defining his
style Paul admits to roots in
the Renaissance with
Impressionist influence. His
portraits go beyond a simple
likeness to capture the story
of the sitter’s life. His
murals go beyond the
decorative and his copies go
beyond the surface to the
techniques used by the
original artist.
Paul’s clients include Bel-Air
and Malibu homes of
celebrities, Saks Fifth Avenue
in New York and Beverly Hills,
the Ikeda museum in Japan,
portraits of European nobility
and murals in some of
Marbella’s best homes. To see
