Artist Statement:
I come from Japan and reside
in the US for 16 years. In art
schools, students debate what
art is, what it means, etc.
For me, good art works
originate from combinations of
artist's creativity,
imagination, sense for colors
and years and years of drawing
training. I would like to be
in a constant learning state
in that aspect and keep
experimenting various ideas.
I like the abstract
expressionism, and would like
to express something beyond
what is seen in my dog
paintings which I currently
focus on. ...
