Artist Statement for Alexandra Grebenyuk
|

|
When viewing the photography of Sasha Grebenyuk, one can experience the sensation of seeing the world through her eyes, as she takes a casual stroll through peaceful, natural surroundings. "My passion is photography" she says, and she expresses this through her cheerful images; rich, and vivid in color, urging the viewer to observe the delicate softness found within nature. The hues of Grebenyuk's bright captures glow with the energy of life. The touch of the sun on clustered flowers inspires memories of warm days in the open air. Her photos move through night and day, through summer and autumn, and ultimately through time; the infinite cycles of our natural world. Grebenyuk often focuses on the smaller details of the grander scheme. Through her photographs, she explores organic textures, and captures the workings of insects as they go about their activities. Every element of life seems to have it's own role to play in Sasha Grebenyuk's photography, whether it's a bee pollinating a flower, or the sun illuminating the sky.
