Artist Statement:
I love the outdoors! There's no shortage of what can be used as subject matter! I'm always on the lookout for the next scene that will will inspire me to create a new piece.Getting a sense of the atmosphere and mood of a particular time and place is an important part of the experience I try to give to the viewers and hope the same feeling I had for the subject will resonate with them.

| Your Personal Biography |
Phil Morin - Visual My interest and artistic activity grew steadily from a young age .Drawing played a big part of my art back then and still does to this day.I have worked many media and a wide range of styles from realism to expressionism,post-Impressionism and Impressionistic Art too. Bought my first set of Speedball dip pens when I was ten years old (I still have some of those pens!) It was No.5 the Artist set. I would make my own comic strips and a multitude of other drawings of all kinds of things!! I began painting in oil in 1986 .In the spring of 1987 I decided to try Watercolor painting and the following year Acrylic. I have used all of these media since then and more in a variety of styles and all kinds of subjects .But the primary subject of my work has been landscape.I have a history of public art presentation dating back to 1987 and am represented by the Bcreative gallery in Sudbury ON, on Long Lake Road.Recently my work was featured in May 2007 issue of The Parkhurst Exchange a Canadian Medical Journal Please visit my site http://www.artsgallery.ca and http://www.dailypaintingblog.com for more artwork! The look of my work is evolving and I will be posting more soon.Expect to see more work done in a contemporary style with aqueous media and more drawings too! Thanks for viewing my work ! - Phil Morin |
