Artist Statement for Steve Lambert
|
|
|
Life is precious; a series of events. Steve Lambert feels his photography is a way he can express the wonder and beauty of the natural world. Steve's digital photography is a combination of nature and wildlife, with traces of architecture. His camera captures the beauty of the life around him, as well as the ecosystems that animals call their habitat. He likes to point his audience to the play of sunlight and shade on the trees, leaves, and blossoms. His camera captures patterns in nature, as well as its chaos. His technique includes use of vanishing point, backlighting of special subjects such as blossoms, macrophotography, sillhoetting, and controlling depth of field. He has done studies on water in nature, waterfowl, wildflowers, insects, serene places in nature, and patterns in nature. He has exhibited at local venues, including the Becker Gallery in Westerville, Ohio.
