Welcome to Russell Kruta's Portfolio.
I have dubbed the styles that I use
MODERN EXPRESSIONISM
because of the way I combine the elements of form, color, and perspective into dynamic statements. I have been heavily influenced by oriental art, especially Bonsai, which I studied as an apprentice to a Bonsai Master from 13-19.
I then studied painting and sculpture at S.U.N.Y. Albany, where the influences of numerous western masters including Bernini, Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Rodin, Monet, and Van Gogh, began to show in my work.
