Artist Statement:
The passion I have for my art
flows from my core need to
expose beauty that usually
goes unnoticed, and therefore
unappreciated. My subjects
are not models, but everyday
people I've been fortunate
enough to work with. Finding
the perfection in their beauty
is achieved by shooting them
in locations they feel in tune
with, whether it be a desert,
a stream, a forest, or their
home. When they become
comfortable and trusting with
me, the beauty within is
freed. Then, I capture it
with the camera. The most
beneficial result from our
time together is how they feel
inside when they can see
themselves through my eyes.
It changes their
self-perception for the
better. What greater reward
could there be for an
artist?...
