Artist Statement:
when taking a photograph, for
whatever ends, I visualise how
the finished picture shall
look in texture, feeling and
quality. All of the works
shown on this gallery site are
photographic in origin. There
are no applications of digital
illustration and computer
graphics in any composition.
All are archival prints:
Hahnemuhle 100% rag paper
using Vivera pigmented inks.
Prints can be sent in museum
quality mounts/mats if
requested.
The pieces on show here are
the latest developments in a
long process of applying
different technology with
printing techniques and
photographic progression.
These run from basic film and
fiber base processes and
printing, through to laser
full colour wet processes to
the latest giclee technique
and pigmented inks. This
latest process producing truly
archival: 120-200years, full
colour prints of the highest
quality.
I have always tried to convey
to the viewer my feeling and
passion for image making
utilising the latest
techniques available in
photography. For myself,
quality of finish and
presentation justifies the
time and dedication involved
in this work.
