| Biggest Artistic Inspiration |
1. Painting music. Musical experiments.
As an amateur pianist, I have been always impressed about the similarities between musical tones and colours. I am convinced there is a way of producing through painting similar sensations as the ones produced when playing a musical piece. I like to paint music.
2. Realities and memories.
How memories transform reality is one of my recurrent thoughts. Sometimes memories appear as a simple deformation of reality; in other occasions, just as an incomplete picture of it; many times we just use our memories to improve our reality.
I can always find a way of expressing this idea through my paintings. |

| Why Did You Become An Artist |
I owe my interest in painting to Barcelona, where I started to take pictures of what since then I called “textures”. A “texture” is a real image created from the repetition of a certain object. The visual effects that these repetitions produce, and how the nature of the object loses importance against the aesthetic setting, has always impressed me. Since then I am specially interested in reflecting through my painting how colour combinations, geometric figures, volumes and textures are capable of expressing sensations by themselves.
